Minister’s Schedules
Minister Yu Woo-ik will visit the United States from November 2 to 7 to help the U.S better understand the current situation on the Korean Peninsula as well as the inter-Korean relations.
During his visit to the U.S, the Minster is due to have a meeting in Washington D.C with Bill Burns, Deputy Secretary of State, and Joe Lieberman, Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman. Minister is also slated to take part in an experts meeting hosted by Council on Foreign Relations to explain the South Korean government’s North Korean policy.
In New York, Minister Yu is expected to meet U.N Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to discuss on humanitarian issues in North Korea.
Today, Minister will have an interview in his office with Bloomberg at 11 A.M. Also, Minister Yu is expected to visit Yu Jung-keun, the president of the South Korean Red Cross at 3 P.M.
