□ North Korea suggested South Korean firms on June 17 to visit Mt.Geumgang to have talks on handling their ownership in the tourist area . In response, the South Korean government decided to send officials and businessmen to the North on June 29.
- The delegation consists of twelve members-six government officials headed by the Unification Ministry’s Director of Social and Cultural Exchanges Division and six representatives of private firms including Hyundai Asan.
□ Our officials’ visit is aimed at ascertaining North Korea’s stance on the assets in the resort and protecting our citizens’ property rights.
