1. Minister's Schedules
Minister Kim Yeon Chul will deliver congratulatory remarks at the
28th anniversary ceremony of the Korea Institute for National
Unification today(4.17) at 1:10 P.M. Minister Kim will then sit down
for a meeting with China’s Ambassador to the R.O.K. Qiu Guohong and
Japan’s Ambassador to the R.O.K. Yasumasa Nagamine at 2:30 P.M. and 4
P.M. respectively.
On Thursday(4.18), Minister Kim will deliver congratulatory remarks
at a forum on economic unification held by Newsis at 9 A.M.
2. Vice Minister's Schedule
Vice Minister Chun Haesung will attend the vice-ministers’
conference tomorrow(4.18) at 10:30 A.M.
3. Regarding sanctions exemption for excavation equipment to be used
at Manwoldae Palace
The U.N. Security Council has granted a sanctions exemption
today(4.17) to allow the transfer of equipment to be used for the
archaeological excavations at Manwoldae Palace in Gaeseong.
The R.O.K. Government hopes to resume the archaeological excavations
at Manwoldae Palace at the earliest possible date, contributing to the
restoration of Korean national homogeneity.
The Government will further pursue inter-Korean cooperation,
including the transfer of necessary supplies for joint excavations as
well as preservation and conservation of relics.
