improve and resume inter-Korean liaison and negotiation agencies held
at the National Assembly from 10 A.M. Minister Lee will sit down for a
meeting with business community figures at 12 P.M.
On November 24, Minister Lee will attend the cabinet meeting at 8:30 A.M.
On November 26, Minister Lee will attend the plenary session of the
National Assembly’s Foreign Affairs & Unification Committee at 10 A.M.

Vice Minister Suh Ho will deliver a keynote speech at the
‘Inter-Korean Economic Cooperation Innovation Forum’ on November 25 at
2 P.M.
On November 26, Vice Minister Suh will attend the vice-ministers’
conference at 10:30 A.M.

Q. Can you further elaborate on Minister Lee’s meeting with business
figures today?
A. At this significant time on the Korean Peninsula following the
U.S. presidential election, Minister Lee is listening to the voices of
policy customers with the purpose of restarting the peace process on
the Korean Peninsula. Today’s meeting, also part of gathering
opinions, will see personnel from businesses that were part of the
delegation to Pyeongyang in 2018. It was arranged for the government
and businesses to explore their roles in improving inter-Korean relations.
Q. There have been news reports claiming that the Ministry of Trade,
Industry and Energy pushed to build a nuclear power plant in North
Korea. Was the Unification Ministry aware of such
plans?
A. There is nothing that the Ministry is aware of.
Q. Is there any update on the border area between North Korea and China?
A. No changes have been detected in the border area.
