Unification Minister Cho Myoung-gyon delivered a special lecture on
the government’s policy on North Korea at the workshop for the 18th
cohort of overseas executive members of the National Unification
Advisory Council on October 30. One-hundred fifty members attended.
The National Unification Advisory Council (NUAC) was established in
accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution of the Republic of
Korea to establish and implement unification policy in preparation for
the era of a unified Korea. It advises and makes proposals to the
President of the Republic of Korea on overall unification policy.
Overseas executive members of the NUAC are spurring discussion on
unification among ethnic Koreans around the world and promoting
unification in every way they can. There are 3,630 members in 122
countries including China, Japan, and countries in the Americas,
Europe, and ASEAN.
