The vice-ministerial-level talks between South and North Korea are
underway at the Peace House on the southern side of Panmunjeom today
□ In the morning session, North Korea briefed the South on its plan
to send a delegation not only to the PyeongChang Winter Olympics but
to the PyeongChang Paralympics.
□ South and North Korea will finalize the details regarding the
participation of North Korean athletes in the PyeongChang Winter
Paralympics through consultation with the International Olympic
Committee (IOC) and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), as
they will with the North’s participation in the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
□ The South Korean delegation consists of chief negotiator Vice
Unification Minister Chun Hae-sung, Ahn Moon-hyun, deputy
director-general of the Prime Minister’s Office, and Kim Ki-hong, vice
president of games planning for the PyeongChang Olympics Organizing Committee.
