Unification Minister Cho Myoung-gyon gave a briefing to reporters
accredited to the Ministry of Unification on the preparations for the
2018 inter-Korean summit at the Central Government Complex in Seoul on
Minister Cho stated that the preparatory committee for
the 2018 inter-Korean summit, established in March, has been swiftly
proceeding with the preparations with the assistance of appropriate
government ministries, and last weekend, everything shifted to on-site
control in Panmunjeom.
He said that both South and North Korea
had already discussed the basic agenda at the high-level inter-Korean
talks on March 29 and that consultations on denuclearization and
establishment of lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula, and
development in inter-Korean relations are under way.
