The special delegation returns to the South after delivering
President Moon’s personal letter to the North Korean leader
The special delegation took President Moon Jae-in’s letter with them
and delivered it to Kim Jong Un, chairman of the State Affairs
Committee. Upon returning to the South, the delegation visited the
presidential residence of Cheong Wa Dae and briefed President Moon
about the outcome of its visit to the North.
Chung Eui-yong, the
national security adviser to President Moon, plans to give a briefing
on the outcome of the visit in the morning on September 6.
It has been six months since a special delegation made the first
visit to the North on March 5. The delegation led by the President’s
top security advisor Chung Eui-yong returned to the South by a direct
air route over the West Sea at 9:44 p.m. after having dinner on
September 5. The details will be announced on September 6.
