The special delegation arrives in Pyeongyang

Upon arriving at the international airport in Pyeongyang, President Moon Jae-in’s special delegation was welcomed by Ri Son Kwon, chairman of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country, and other committee officials.

Then, the five-person delegation went to the Koryo Hotel where they were greeted by Kim Yong Chol, vice-chairman of the Party Central Committee. The South Korean delegation had a discussion with Kim and Ri for about 20 minutes at a meeting room on the 38th floor of the Koryo Hotel. After Vice Chairman Kim left the room, the others continued the dialogue, and at around 10:22 a.m., the South’s delegation went to another place for an official meeting.
The North did not beforehand inform the South of the venue or those who would participate in the meeting.
