Unified Korean men’s handball team scores first victory at the Handball World Championship in Denmark

Perhaps you recall some of the dramatic South Korea-Japan matches that have enthralled the Korean people through the years. This time, it was a Korea-Japan match, not a South Korea-Japan match.

In the night of January 19 (KST), the unified Korean men’s handball team won a heart-pounding come-from-behind victory against Japan after a close game at the International Handball Federation World Men’s Handball Championship in Denmark.
Korea ended the first half down 14-12 and trailed for most of the second half, but in the end, it was able to turn the tables and beat Japan 27 to 25.
