IOC approves a Korean proposal for unified Korean teams and a joint
march at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics
South and North Korea signed an agreement to participate in the 2020
Tokyo Olympics as unified teams at the inter-Korean sports talks on
February 15. The Korean proposal for a joint march and unified Korean
teams was discussed by a working group and approved by the IOC
Executive Committee on March 28.
The two Koreas will be able to participate in the 2020 Tokyo
Olympics as unified teams and march together at the opening ceremony.
