Ministry of Unification holds Peace Performance marking the first anniversary of the Panmunjeom Declaration

The Ministry of Unification will hold the Peace Performance event marking the first anniversary of the Panmunjeom Declaration at Panmunjeom on April 27. The event will be held under the theme of “Long, Journey: A journey that is long but we have to take.”
Artists from South Korea, the US, Japan, and China will give cultural performances, including musical performances and an exhibition of installation works on five stages at 7 p.m.-7:50 p.m. on April 27. The stages are set up just for this event at important spots in Panmunjeom including in the military demarcation line and the Footbridge where the leaders of South and North Korea greeted each other, reminding us of the major scenes of the day a year ago.
The event will be jointly hosted by the Ministry of Unification, Seoul City, and Gyeonggi Province. Five hundred guests will be invited, including foreign diplomats in Korea, citizens of Seoul and residents of Gyeonggi Province, children, teenagers, college students, people from the art and culture and sports communities, people from the government and the National Assembly, and people from the United Nations Command and the Military Armistice Commission.
The event will be aired live across the nation for 50 minutes at 7 p.m. on April 27.
