Open Call for Institutes to participate in Korea Global Forum for
Peace 2022
The Korea Global Forum for Peace (KGFP) is a track 1.5 multilateral
forum hosted by the Ministry of Unification (MOU) of the Republic of
Korea to discuss peace and unification in Korea. Since its inaugural
forum in 2010, KGFP has been an annual forum for researchers, civil
societies and government officials from over twenty countries to
participate and discuss issues concerning North Korea and lasting
peace of the Korean Peninsula.
This year, marking the 50th anniversary of the July 4th Inter-Korean
Joint Statement, and with the beginning of the new administration in
S. Korea, KGFP will seek solution for North Korea’s nuclear issues and
to relieve military tension and to maintain the stability on the
Korean peninsula, and will discuss new vision of inter-Korean
relations to normalize inter-Korean relationship and co-prosperity
under the theme of “Vision for Unification of the Korean Peninsula and
Inter-Korean relations in a Transitional Era”. The Ministry of
Unification is calling for institutions in and out of Korea working on
Korean peninsula and North Korea to take part in this year’s forum, KGFP.

B. Application Process
● Submission: Send official document
issued by head of institution through email
● Application Period:
by 20th June(Monday)
● Required Documents: 1xOfficial Letter,
1xDraft plan of session (annex 2)
● Expense covered by the MOU :
Conference room and equipment, interpretation, meal, advertisement of
participating institutions through publications and by providing booth
for institutions during the event
* Expenses for
participants/speakers should be covered by each institution
C. Evaluation and announcement
● The KGFP advisory council will
review the application and announce the result late in May
individually
● Submitted draft plan could be adjusted (changed,
integrated) through consultation with each institute after review.
