On May 25, Minister Kwon Youngse delivered congratulatory remarks at
the National Assembly Seminar on Inter-Korean Covid-19 Prevention
Cooperation held at the National Assembly Hall.
In his congratulatory remarks, Minister Kwon emphasized that North
Korea should immediately stop provocations and self-isolation into the
yoke of sanctions, and return to dialogue and diplomacy to talk about
what they are asking for, adding "The Government makes it clear
that we are ready to discuss any topic without any preconditions.”
Minister Kwon reiterated Government's stance to pursue humanitarian
cooperation despite of political and military circumstances as it is
the realization of universal values related to the quality of life of
North Koreans, while responding firmly to North Korean provocations.
He said the seminar signifies the sincerity of the Government toward
the North, and Yoon Suk Yeol administration will realize development
of inter-Korean relations including in humanitarian cooperation area
through pragmatic and flexible approach while consistently upholding
principles regardless of ups and downs to come.
