O The Ministry of Unification have made flash animations and cartoons using five popular cartoon characters in cooperation with domestic character manufacturing companies and the Korea Culture & Content Agency (KCCA) in order to help South Korean juveniles to easily understand issues concerning unification. The MOU plans to create interesting stories about unification and the South and the North using those characters.
- This event has been prepared since Aug. this year as part of our effort to develop a unification-promoting brand, a project first selected as one of the innovation projects of the Unification Ministry
O The selected characters including Marine Blues, Little Dinosaur Dooly, Bizarre Rabbit Mashimaro, Seventh Street Jongno and Papepopo are well known among juveniles. The character companies, agreeing not to impose royalties on the use of their characters, pledged to actively support the MOU's effort to raise juveniles' interest in Unification issues
O The flash animations and cartoons will be posted on the MOU's website from 9:00 AM, Dec. 23. The MOU will carry out street events such as Unification Quiz for two days from Dec. 23 in about ten places including Daehak-ro and Shinchon, which are popular among juveniles
