The Working-level Consultation on the Support for the Prevention of Insect Attack in Forest Trees

The inter-Korean working-level consultation on the support for the prevention of insect attack in forest trees of North Korea was held at the Office of Inter-Korean Economic Cooperation in Gaesong on May 8, 2007.
At the meeting, the two sides consulted related matters and South Korea agreed to provide the North with drugs and technology needed for prevention of attack by eggar and pine needle gall midge.
In addition, the South and the North agreed to allow the South Korean experts to visit the very spot where the insect attack took place.
On the concrete items and schedule, the two sides agreed to consult additionally by exchanging related documents.
