Unification Minister Attends the 8th Anniversary of the June 15 Joint Declaration
Unification Minister Kim Ha-joong on June 12 will attend a ceremony commemorating the 8th anniversary of the June 15 Joint Declaration. The annual ceremony, which has been co-hosted by Kim Dae Jung Peace Center and Yonsei University s Kim Dae Jung Library since 2004, has been attended by previous president Roh Moo-hyun, then Prime Ministers and Unification Ministers.
President Roh attended the ceremony for three consecutive years from 2004, and former Prime Minister Han Deok-su back in 2007.
This year, Kim Dae Jung Peace Center requested high-ranking government officials to take part in the event, and then Unification Minister Kim Ha-joong decided to attend it.
