The vocational training is a six-month program. Hanawon offers one month of training and Yerim Vocational Training Institute will provide five-month program for 15 North Korean defectors beginning the end of June, 2008. The training course covers jewelry design.

*The North Korean defectors who complete this course and acquire certain qualifications will be hired by jewelry companies including Gemopia Jewelry.

This is the second pact following the first one reached with CJ Foodvill in December 2007. The pact is expected to contribute to job creation for and stable resettlement of dislocated North Koreans.
