The Ministry s 1st foreign student blog reporter corps launched

 

On August 2, the Ministry of Unification created a group of foreign Sangsaeng reporters who are foreign college students delivering news for the Ministry blog.

 

l      In the era of Web 2.0 characterized by participation, sharing, and openness, the Ministry established the 1st foreign student blog reporter corps to create public consensus on the Government s unification policy.

 

-    Nine students including one from Wesley College make the coprs.

 

l      The foreign blog reporters will work together with their counterparts in Korea including former North Koreans on programs through which they can communicate with each other from the perspective of young generations, understand other cultures and share a vision for unification.

 

-    In particular, social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter we are using will make young people easily understand the need for unification.

 

Two-way communication on unification policies and creating debates and a vision for unification.

 

l      The foreign and local student reporters will see together the situation and the unification environment on the Korean Peninsula in both direct and indirect ways and have a shared view on unification.

 

-               After the orientation program, the foreign reporter corps will visit the DMZ area, do voluntary services to North Korean defectors and work as reporters for the Ministry blog.
