Candidates for a family reunion later this month to be selected
l The South Korean Red Cross is going to pick 500 candidates for a family reunion by a computerized random draw at 7 p.m. today. The reunion is to be held from October 30 to November 5 on the occasion of this year s Cheseok holidays.
l Of those 500, 200 will be chosen after expressing their willingness to see their separated families living in North Korea and getting a medical checkup. Then, whether their family members in North Korea are still alive and want to see them will be asked to confirm to the North Korean authorities. Based on the result, 100 will be finally determined.
