A workshop to be held to boost unification education
l The Ministry s Education Center for Unification invited heads of central and local education training institutes and education officials who train teachers to a workshop that is to be held from October 20 to 21 in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. The event aims to promote unification education at schools.
l It will be joined by 100 people from the central and local education training institutes including Baik Jong-myun, President of the National Training Institute of Education, Science and Technology and Oh Dae-seok, President of the Seoul Education Training Institute.
- After a lecture on the current inter-Korean relations and the future vision for unification is given, participants will discuss the significance of unification education and roles of the training institutes.
- In particular, Vice Unification Minister Uhm Jong-sik will host a dinner party where he will underscore roles of the institutes in boosting unification education at schools and ask for their cooperation.
l As education officials who are in charge of training teachers will join the workshop, we expect that it will contribute to achieving our goal of unification education enhancement.
