MOU replied to North Korea s proposal for inter-Korean talks to discuss tourism to Mt. Geumgang
l Today we notified North Korea of our position on its proposal for talks between North and South Korean authorities to discuss resumption of tourism to Mt. Geumgang on November 19.
l We said in the letter that inter-Korean talks for resuming tours to Mt. Geumgang should succeed one that was held on February 8.
- We pointed out that the North Korea s unilateral action to freeze and confiscate property owned by South Korea was unjust and has blocked talks on that issue.
- And we emphasized that the action should be withdrawn first before the talks could resume.
