The Preparation for the Inter-Korean Summit and Flood Aid for the North

The Vice-Minister of Unification Lee Kwan-sei gave a regular briefing on August 30 and explained the preparation for the Inter-Korean Summit Meeting and flood aid for the North.

Preparation for the Inter-Korean Summit
The vice-minister Lee said the advance team will be sent on September 25 and the attendants will be composed of 150 persons. He also said the member of the attendants will be decided through further consultation.
In addition, the vice-minister Lee said the media center for the 2nd Inter-Korean Summit will be established at Lotte Hotel in Seoul and other matters including transportation, accommodation, and communication are being consulted.
Flood Aid for the North
The vice-minister Lee said the conveyance of flood relief for the North was completed on August 30. Also, twenty-five private organizations plan to provide the North with 15.3billion won worth of relief and as of August 29, 4.72billion won worth of relief was delivered.
In addition, regarding the flood aid from the international community, Vice-minister Lee said the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs appealed to the international society for 14million dollars worth of aid and the government decided to participate in this aid.
