The Korean Conference of Religion for Peace is slated to visit North Korea from September 21 to 24 at the invitation of the North Korean counterpart. The delegation consists of 24 members including leaders and staff members representing seven largest religious groups in South Korea.
The religious delegation will visit Pyongyang and Mt. Baekdu to attend an inter-Korean meeting for religious leaders as well as a joint prayer meeting.
The South Korean government approved the group’s visit given the religious circle’s contribution to inter-Korean exchanges and desire for peace on the Korean Peninsula.
