Korea Global Forum 2012
Korea Global Forum 2012 will be held from November 13 to 14 at Seoul Shilla Hotel.
* KGF is a 1.5 track (semi-governmental) form of multilateral consultative system established in 2010 in order to expand an international bond of understanding and sympathy regarding the necessity of unification peace and stability on the Korean peninsula.
There are 18 government officials and civil experts participating from about 10 countries including the R.O.K., U.S., Japan, China, Russia, U.K., France, Germany, Australia, and ASEAN for this year's forum.
The theme for this year's forum is「Peace and Unification - Discussion on the Korean Peninsula」and there will be one open lecture given by a unification scholar (11.13, morning), two open seminars (11.13, afternoon), and one closed-door expert meeting (11.14).
Today (11.12) there will be a welcoming dinner hosted by the Unification Minister Yu Woo-ik from 18:30, and on Tuesday (11.13) former U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, James Steinberg will deliver a keynote address following the opening ceremony at 9:30.
