R.O.K. Government’s Stance on Holding Inter-Korean Talks
The R.O.K. government positively evaluates that North Korea on June 6th has accepted our continued proposal on holding inter-Korean talks.
We suggest that the inter-Korean ministerial talks be held in Seoul on June 12th to solve the pending inter-Korean issues such as the Gaeseong Industrial Complex(GIC), Tours to Mt. Geumgang, and the separated families.
To discuss practical issues before holding inter-Korean talks, we suggest North Korea restore the inter-Korean communication channel at Panmunjeom starting from tomorrow(June 7th).
We hope that the inter-Korean talks proceed with the North’s positive response and serve as an opportunity to improve inter-Korean relations based on mutual trust.
