o It is unacceptable that North Korea has distorted the U.S.-ROK joint annual military exercises and criticized and even threatened the South Korean government through recent official statements, first made by the spokesperson of its General Staff Department and by the spokesperson of its Foreign Ministry on March 2, 2015, and followed by today's statement by its Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland.
o In particular, it is truly regrettable that North Korea has taken the provocative action of firing missiles off its eastern coast and directly mentioning the South Korean president by name, and that it continues to shift the blame for the current deadlock in Inter-Korean relations to South Korea, while at the same time failing to provide a formal response to our offer for dialogue.
o The South Korean government reconfirms that it will react firmly and strongly to provocations from North Korea, calling for it to immediately refrain from its preposterous, provocative, and one-sided actions and return to the path of mutual development between South Korea and North Korea.
