□ North Korea, in a letter of warning by the Korean Council for Reconciliation and Cooperation, justified its reckless provocations, including its fifth nuclear test, slandered the ROK President with words that should never be used officially, and threatened both the ROK and the international community. The ROK government strongly condemns this letter.
□ It is regrettable that North Korea continues development of its nuclear and missile programs in defiance of repeated demands to cease from the international community, further distressing its people’s quality of life.
□ The government will work with the international community to push ahead with stronger sanctions and additional pressure on North Korea to ensure that the regime wakes up from its delusion of becoming a nuclear state, and that it will painfully realize that repeated nuclear tests will only take it down the road to self-destruction.
