□ An exhibition of records of separated families opened at Odusan Unification Observatory at 11:00 a.m. on November 29 and was attended by 150 people including donors of records and separated family members from nearby Incheon.

The event featured pre-ceremony cultural performances followed by the opening ceremony, viewing of the exhibition, and a luncheon.

Since April of 2017, the government has systematically collected records of separated families to preserve the history of separated families.

o It has collected 10,000 records of separated families including letters exchanged with relatives in North Korea and gifts exchanged during family reunions through contributions from separated family members, government agencies, local governments, and relevant organizations.

o The government selected 125 of these records and arranged the exhibition at Odusan Unification Observatory, and the exhibition will run from November 29, 2017 to February 28, 2018. It is intended to expand the public consensus on issues of separated families.

o The exhibition presents History of Separated Families (Space 1), Exhibition of Records (Space 2), and Interviews with Separated Families and Healing Programs (Space 3).

 □ The exhibition is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends, national holidays, and public holidays. It is closed on Monday.

o Even if you cannot go to the exhibition, you will be able to see the records of separated families at the online museum for separated families starting in late December.
