Fund Inquiry Committee on March 8 to deliberate two proposals
regarding the inter-Korean cooperative funding for the participation
of the North Korean athlete delegation of the Pyeongchang Winter
Paralympic Games.
o The Funding of the North Korean Athlete Delegation Participation
of the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Paralympics Games is a proposal
pertaining to inter-Korean cooperative funds being used to cover all
incurred expenses for the visiting delegation during their stay in
South Korea for the paralympic games.
- The cumulative funds discussed reach approximately 130 million
KRW, and will be alloted to the Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games &
Winter Paralympic Games Organizing Committee and the Korea Paralympic
Committee.
o The Funding of the New Economic Map
Initiative of the Korean Peninsula & DMZ Peace Cooperative Forum
is a proposal to provide funding for a sustainable peace cooperative
following the creation of the trans-border peace belt that includes
the three economic belts of the New Economic Map Initiative of the
Korean Peninsula.
- The cumulative funds discussed reach 100 million KRW, and will
be alloted to selected service suppliers through public invitation
procedures according to the Public Procurement Service.
