medical care and promotes the health of North Korean defectors in many
ways, including the signing of medical support agreements between
private hospitals and private support organizations, establishing a
cooperative system with appropriate agencies and defraying medical
expenses, and managing counseling offices at four hospitals (National
Medical Center, Chungnam National University Hospital, Seoul Medical
Center, and Incheon Red Cross Hospital).
□ Hanawon will work for the improved health of North Korean
defectors by establishing more medical support agreements with public
and private medical institutions across the nation and will further
strive to address their medical problems.
