ROK Government to promote food aid to
North Korea through international organization

□ The ROK Government, after close consultation with the World Food
Programme (WFP) considering the food situation in North Korea, has
decided to provide 50,000 metric tons of domestic rice to the North.
□ The Government hopes that the food aid provided through WFP can
be delivered to the North Korean people without delay.
□ The time and scale for additional food aid to the North will be
decided at a later date, after reviewing the results of this round of support.
