proposal to hold talks on Mount Geumgang tour issues
October 29, 2019
□ North Korea's
‘Kumgangsan International Tourist Bureau’ sent a document to the
Ministry of Unification and Hyundai Group respectively
today(10.29) morning, responding to the South's proposal to hold
working-level talks to discuss Mount Geumgang tour issues.
□ The North asserted that an agreement on the plans and
schedule for removing facilities at Mt. Geumgang tourism zone can
be reached in the form of document exchange, without having to
hold separate working-level talks as proposed by the South.
□ The ROKG will closely consult with tour operators and prepare
countermeasures on the issues regarding Mt. Geumgang tours,
adhering to the principle that all issues with regards to
inter-Korean relations should be resolved through dialogue and
consultation.
