Temporary suspension of South-North Joint
Liaison Office in Gaeseong

o The South and the North today(1.30) agreed to temporarily suspend
operations at the Joint Liaison Office until the transmission risk of
the novel coronavirus is resolved completely. The decision was made
through consultations between liaison officers.
- The South Korean staff in Gaeseong will return to the South at
the earliest possible date.
* 58 South Korean staff are currently in Gaeseong
- The two sides have agreed to maintain contact by opening up
telecommunication lines between Seoul and Pyeongyang.
