Ministry of Unification to hold event
commemorating significance of constructing the Donghae Bukbu railway line

The Ministry of Unification, together with
the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, will hold an event
at Jejin Station in Gangwon Province on April 27 at 11 A.M., to
commemorate the significance of building the Gangneung-Jejin section
of the Donghae Bukbu railway line.
The event, held upon the 2nd anniversary of the Panmunjeom
Declaration, will be attended by a total of 150 people including the
ministers of Unification; and Land, Infrastructure and Transport, as
well as a provincial governor.
Considering the current situation of Covid-19, we will thoroughly
implement quarantine measures such as keeping distance between seats,
measuring body temperature of participants, and making mask-wearing
mandatory for all at the site.
Through this event the government will recall the significance of
building the Donghae Bukbu railway in revitalizing local economy and
connecting inter-Korean railway.
