On October 2, a spokesperson for the Political Bureau of the National Defense Commission condemned President Park Geun-Hye’s comments on North Korea during a cabinet meeting on September 30. He argued that President Park’s North Korea Policy is a confrontational policy against the same people, destroying the supreme socialist system of North Korea.
On October 2, the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland issued a statement on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the October 4 Declaration, stating that North Korea is firm on its position to cooperate with South Korean to achieve independent unification and peaceful prosperity.
