On June 16, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the North Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration, in a statement, condemned the South Korean government’s measures regarding the June 15 joint events.
On June 17, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Korean Council for Reconciliation and Cooperation, in a statement, denounced the ROK President for her latest remarks on inter-Korean relations.
【Foreign Affairs】
On June 16, the North Korean media reported that the Foreign Ministry, on June 13, delivered to the Secretariat of the United Nations a letter adopted at a joint meeting by the DPRK government, political parties, and organizations, and called on the U.N. to “make a positive contribution to easing the situation on the Korean Peninsula and addressing unification issues.”
On June 16, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, argued that it would strengthen its self-defensive nuclear deterrent with regard to a U.S. submarine’s arrival at the port of Busan.
