【Internal Affairs】
From September 10 to 16, the North Korean media reported Kim Jong Un’s public activities as follows: Kim provided field guidance on 1) Farm No. 1116 under KPA Unit 810 and 2) the recently constructed Medical Oxygen Factory.
 
From September 10 to 13, the North Korean media reported that, regarding the ongoing flood recovery work in North Hamgyong Province, the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) sent an appeal to all the party members, service personnel of the Korean People’s Army (KPA) and other people (September 10) and that the North provided electricity and drinking water (September 13).
 
On September 13, the North Korean media reported that a joint army-civilian meeting for hailing the successful nuclear warhead explosion test (September 9) was held at Kim Il Sung Square.

【Inter-Korean Affairs】
On September 10, the North Korean media reported that the Korean Council for Reconciliation and Cooperation, in a letter of warning, harshly criticized the ROK President’s remarks on North Korea.
 
On September 12, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland, in a Q&A session with KCNA reporters, severely condemned the ROK President’s remarks on the North.
 
On September 13, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Korean Asia-Pacific Peace Committee, in a statement, denounced and threatened the ROK government regarding its responses to the North’s fifth nuclear test and its remarks on the North.
 
On September 15, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Korean Peace Advocacy, in a statement, criticized the ROK government’s THAAD deployment plan and instigated an anti-government campaign.

【Foreign Affairs】
On September 11, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, threatened that the North will “continue to increase its nuclear strike force in quality and in quantity,” regarding the U.S. President’s statement condemning the North’s nuclear test (significant measures including additional sanctions).
 
On September 16, the North Korean media reported that Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho, in his speech at the ministerial meeting of the 17th Non-Aligned Movement Summit (September 15-16), argued that the North’s fifth nuclear test had been conducted as part of a legitimate defense policy and that the UN Security Council has been unfair to North Korea.
