【Internal Affairs】
From September 24 to 30, the North Korean media reported Kim Jong Un’s public activities as follows: Kim provided field guidance at 1) the Taedong River Syringe Factory and 2) the Ryongaksan Spring Water Factory.
 
On September 25, the North Korean media reported that the North is rendering support for the ongoing recovery work in northern regions including North Pyongan Province, Jagang Province, and South Hwanghae Province.
 
On September 26, the North Korean media reported that the Nationwide Geological Survey Department Workers Conference was held.
 
On September 30, the North Korean media reported that Kim Jong Un sent a letter (“On the Basic Tasks Facing Kim Il Sung University in the New Era of the Juche Revolution”) to the faculty and students of the university on its 70th founding anniversary.

【Inter-Korean Affairs】
From September 24 to 30, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland, in a Q&A session with KCNA reporters, condemned UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon’s remarks on North Korea and denounced ROK Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se’s remarks at the UN General Assembly that it was time to reconsider whether North Korea was qualified for U.N. membership.
 
On September 29, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea, in a statement, instigated an anti-government campaign regarding the death of farmer and activist Paek Nam-gi.

【Foreign Affairs】
On September 24, the North Korean media reported that Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho, in his speech at the 71st session of the UN General Assembly on September 23, said that the North will strengthen its nuclear armed forces.
 
On September 27, the North Korean media reported that the Institute for International Studies, in a memorandum, condemned the United States by stating “We accuse the United States, the nuclear criminal, of making the history of mankind a chain of bloody events. The U.S., which is brandishing a nuclear stick and trampling on and burning everything on the earth, is the common enemy of humanity, the atrocious destroyer of the planet, and the root of all evil.”
 
On September 28, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a Q&A session with KCNA reporters, argued that countries participating in the recent international conferences (the 17th Non-Aligned Movement Summit and the annual meeting of the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the Group of 77) expressed their support for and solidarity with North Korea regarding the North’s call for the rejection and withdrawal of the UN sanctions on the North (including the North Korean nuclear issue).
