On November 3, the North Korean media reported that a spokesman for the Disarmament and Peace Institute of the Foreign Ministry, in a Q&A session with KCNA reporters, condemned the South for its internal issues.
On November 3, the North Korean media reported that the Youth and Students Organizations in the North, the South, and Overseas announced a “joint resolution” on the occasion of the 87th anniversary of the Gwangju Students Independence Movement (1929) and gave advance notice that there will be “working-level contacts for a Korean youth’s meeting for reunification”
On October 29, the North Korean media reported that Ri Jong Hyok, director of the National Reunification Institute, in his speech at the plenary meeting of the 135th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) (Geneva, Switzerland on October 25), denounced the U.S. and the international community for imposing sanctions on the North and pressuring the North regarding human rights issues.
On November 2, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a Q&A session with KCNA reporters, criticized U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Blinken’s remarks on North Korea.
