From December 17 to 21, the North Korean media reported Kim Jong Un’s public activities as follows: Kim 1) paid his respects to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il at the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, 2) observed the fifth death anniversary of Kim Jong Il, 3) watched the Masikryong Ski Competition – 2016, 4) provided field guidance at a firing contest for multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) batteries selected from large combined units of the KPA, and 5) gave field guidance for the night assault combat flight drill of fighter pilots of the Hero Kil Yong Jo Pursuit Plane Regiment.
On December 18, the North Korean media reported that the Central Committee of the KPA made public a press report on the victorious conclusion of the 200-day campaign.
From December 19 to 22, the North Korean media reported that Premier Pak Pong Ju attended the ceremony to celebrate the completion of construction of the first-stage waterway in South Hwanghae Province and provided field guidance to the Kim Jong Tae Electric Locomotive Complex and the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex.

On December 23, the North Korean media reported that the DPRK Association for Protection of Human Rights in South Korea released the 2016 report on human rights abuses in the South and instigated an anti-government campaign.
【Foreign Affairs】
On December 22, the North Korean media reported that the director of the Department of Treaty and Law of the Foreign Ministry, in a statement, sternly condemned UNSC Resolution 2321 as a criminal document without any legality, threatening that war is the only option left on the Korean Peninsula.
