On January 15, the North Korean media reported that Premier Pak Pong Ju gave field guidance at the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex and at the Red Cross General Hospital of Korea.
From January 16 to 19, the North Korean media reported that 90% of the construction work for residential houses and 83% of the work to make Ryomyong Street green were finished, marking completion of over 80 percent of the construction of Ryomyong Street.
On January 18, the North Korean media reported that North Korea intensified its hygienic and anti-epidemic work to prevent outbreaks of diseases and environmental pollution.

On January 18, the North Korean media reported that the DPRK government, political parties, and organizations held a joint conference and released an “Appeal to the Entire Korean People,” emphasizing that the task of unification set forth by Kim Jong Un in his New Year’s speech must be completed.

From January 19 to 20, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a Q&A session with KCNA reporters, condemned the remarks at the World Economic Forum in Davos by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Australia’s human rights abuses (applying draconian counter-terrorism laws to child terror suspects and suffocating them by tear gas).
