【Internal Affairs】
From February 13 to 16, the North Korean media reported Kim Jong Un’s public activities as follows: Kim 1) provided field guidance at the test-firing of the Pukguksong-2, a medium-and-long range ballistic missile, 2) participated in a central report meeting to celebrate the 75th birth anniversary of late leader Kim Jong Il, and 3) visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun.
 
From February 10 to 14, the North Korean media quickly reported the progress made at the Ryomyong Street construction site as the work approaches the final phase, including the achievements of the military personnel under the Ministry of People’s Armed Forces in the construction of houses on Ryomyong Street.
 
【Inter-Korean Affairs】
On February 13, the North Korean media reported that a spokesman for the Nationwide Emergency Measure Committee against DPRK-targeted Nuclear War Exercises, in a statement, condemned the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle (KR/FE) exercises and threatened that South Korea and the U.S. should think about what the nuclear war drills would bring about and refrain from rash actions.

On February 15, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a Q&A session with KCNA reporters, denounced the UNSC statement condemning the North’s test-firing of the Pukguksong-2 (released on February 13), emphasizing that it is a legitimate right as a sovereign state and no one can argue over it.
