On June 17, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the North Side Headquarters of the Nationwide Special Committee for Probing the Truth behind the GIs' Crimes, in a statement, condemned the city of Uijeongbu for holding an event to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the USFK 2nd Infantry Division and argued for the withdrawal of US forces from South Korea.
On June 18, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Korean Peace Advocacy National Committee, in a statement, blasted the South for bringing in four more THAAD launchers and instigated an anti-American campaign.
On June 21, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country of the DPRK, in a Q&A session with KCNA reporters, criticized the ROK President’s remarks on North Korea in his congratulatory messages on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the June 15 Joint Declaration and called on the ROK government to change its policy on North Korea.
On June 22, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Korean Jurists Committee, in a statement, called on the South to abolish the National Security Law and to release all the patriotic champions of reunification.
On June 23, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Consultative Council for National Reconciliation, in a Q&A session with KCNA reporters, denounced the ROK government’s request for the repatriation of detainees regarding the death of Otto Warmbier and asserted that there can never be any humanitarian cooperation between the North and the South before the settlement of the repatriation issue of DPRK citizens including the restaurant workers who defected to the South and Kim Ryen-hi.

On June 17, the North Korean media reported that the Institute of Human Rights at the Academy of Social Sciences, in its white paper, condemned the international community’s foreign policy as the main cause for the current refugee situation on the occasion of World Refugee Day (June 20).
From June 18 to 22, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a Q&A session with KCNA reporters, demanded that the US government apologize for seizing a diplomatic package from the delegation of DPRK diplomats at JFK International Airport in New York and blasted the U.S. for sending US B-1 strategic bombers to the Korean Peninsula and conducting a joint drill.
On June 22-23, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, denounced the Trump administration’s policy on Cuba and rejected the allegation of North Korea’s torture and beating regarding the death of Otto Warmbier.
