for the Consultative Council for National Reconciliation, in a
statement, slammed the ROK government’s mention of tightening the
ROK-US alliance and warned that “If the South Korean authorities keep
to the humiliating sycophancy towards the US, they will not be able to
evade the sternest punishment by history.”

spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Q&A sessions
with KCNA reporters, said that considering the current state of
DPRK-US relations, the issue of Americans held in North Korea is not a
subject of discussion, regarding the foreign news reports that the US
