【Internal Affairs】

From September 16 to 21, the North Korean media reported on Kim Jong Un’s public activities as follows: Kim 1) ordered the launch of the Hwashong-12 and observed the training, and 2) visited a fruit farm in Kwail, South Hwanghae Province and expressed appreciation and delivered cash prizes to the people.

From September 17 to 22, the North Korean media reported that the 20th World Taekwondo Championships was held in Pyongyang from September 17 to 21 with participants from 69 countries around the world.

On September 18, the North Korean media reported that Premier Pak Pong Ju made a field survey of the Hamhung branch of the State Academy of Sciences and major enterprises in Hamhung.

On September 20, the North Korean media reported that another Koguryo mural tomb was discovered in Pyongyang.
 
【Inter-Korean Affairs】

On September 17, the North Korean media condemned the South Korean officials from Cheongwadae, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Unification for welcoming and supporting UN Security Council resolution 2375.

On September 18, the North Korean media blasted the ROK government for discussing military responses to North Korea’s sixth nuclear test, including redeployment of US tactical nuclear weapons. 
 
On September 20, the North Korean media slammed the ROK President’s remarks at a South Korea-Japan summit meeting (agreed to further tighten sanctions on North Korea on September 7).
 
 【Foreign Affairs】

On September 18, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, denounced the US and the international community for issuing a press statement calling for the implementation of UN Security Council resolution 2375 (September 15) and issued threats.

On September 21, the North Korean media reported that the Committee for Aiding Overseas Compatriots of Korea, in a statement, condemned the Tokyo District Court’s decision unilaterally declining the just call made by the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) and Koreans in Japan for the application of tuition-free programs for senior high schools to the senior students of Korean middle and high schools in Tokyo.

On September 22, the North Korean media reported that the chairman of the State Affairs Commission, in a statement, criticized Donald Trump’s address at the UN General Assembly and threatened the US.

On September 22, the North Korean media reported that the Education Commission, in a statement, blasted the Tokyo District Court’s decision unilaterally declining the just call made by the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) and Koreans in Japan for the application of tuition-free programs for senior high schools to the senior students of Korean middle and high schools in Tokyo.
