Conference of Cell Chairpersons of the WPK was opened in Pyongyang on
December 21.
On December 18, the North Korean media reported that a symposium on
the history and culture of Koguryo took place at the Sci-Tech Complex
in Pyongyang.
On December 19, the North Korean media reported that the Central
Committee of the Korean Federation for the Protection of the Disabled
touted achievements of the disabled persons rehabilitation project.
On December 19, the North Korean media reported that many
achievements have been made in education this year marking the 40th
anniversary of the publication of Kim Il Sung’s work, Theses on
Socialist Education.

in South Korea.”
【Foreign Affairs】
On December 20, the North Korean media reported that a chief press
officer of the Institute for American Studies, affiliated with the
Foreign Ministry, in a statement, condemned US media and experts for
claiming that “North Korea is stepping up its development of
biological weapons.”
On December 21, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson
for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a Q&A session with KCNA
reporters, blasted the US for declaring that “North Korea was
responsible for the WannaCry malware attack earlier this year.”
On December 22, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson
for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, denounced the
US’s new national security strategy.
On December 22, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson
for the Korea (DPRK)-Europe Association, in a statement, slammed the
British defense secretary for remarking that North Korea is on a
trajectory to have ballistic missiles and nuclear weapons that could
strike London.
