【Internal Affairs】
On February 13 and 16, the North Korean media reported that Kim Jong Un was briefed on the results of the high-level delegation’s visit to the South and posed for a photo with the delegation; posed for a photo with members of the Samjiyon Orchestra; and visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star.
 
On February 13, the North Korean media reported that Choe Ryong Hae, vice chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea, visited sites in South Hwanghae Province.
 
On February 12, the North Korean media reported that Premier Pak Pong Ju provided field guidance at the Wonsan-Kalma coastal tourist area, now under construction.
 
On February 15, the North Korean media reported that a ceremony for the completion of a long-distance belt conveyor was held at the Namyang Coal Mine of the Tokchon Area Coal-Mining Complex.

On February 10 and 13-15, the North Korean media reported on the North’s participation in the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
 
 
 【Foreign Affairs】
On February 10, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Korea Asia-Pacific Peace Committee, in a statement, condemned the US’s 2018 Nuclear Posture Review.
 
On February 11, the North Korean media blasted the Trump administration’s debate over a “bloody nose” strike on North Korea.
 
On February 13, the North Korean media reported that the director of the Disarmament and Peace Institute of the Foreign Ministry, in a statement, denounced recent remarks on North Korea by the US and Japan for spoiling the spirit of reconciliation between South and North Korea.
 
On February 14, the North Korean media reported that the National Reunification Institute, in a bill of indictment, slammed the US for impeding progress in inter-Korean relations and unification of the Korean Peninsula.
                                                                                               
On February 14 and 16, the North Korean media reported that North Korea’s Permanent Mission to the UN, in a press statement, condemned the US government’s response to the UN Economic and Social Council’s rejection of an application for consultative status for the US Committee for Human Rights in North Korea, a Washington D.C.-based non-governmental research organization, and called for the verification of legitimacy of UNSC sanctions on North Korea.
 
On February 15, the North Korean media reported that the director of the press office of the Institute for American Studies, affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, denounced the US for highlighting Otto Warmbier’s death to step up its anti-DPRK propaganda.
