【Internal Affairs】
On February 24, the North Korean media reported that Premier Pak Pong Ju provided field guidance at the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex and the East Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant.
 
On February 26, the North Korean media reported on the ongoing construction of the Wonsan-Kalma coastal tourist area.
 
On March 1, the North Korean media reported that an event to mark the 99th anniversary of the March First Popular Uprising was held.
 
On March 1, the North Korean media inspired faith in socialism to mark the 25th anniversary of the publication of Kim Jong Il’s famous work, Socialism Is a Science.
 
On March 2, the North Korean media appealed to the people, saying “Let’s create a new history by turning all mountains of the country into those of gold and treasures with green forest” on the occasion of the Tree-Planting Day.

On February 25-28, the North Korean media reported on the North’s participation in the PyeongChang Olympic and Paralympic Games.
 
On February 28, the North Korean media reported that the General Association of Koreans in China, in a statement, expressed its determination to improve inter-Korean relations and pursue “independent reunification.”
 
 
 【Foreign Affairs】
On February 24, the North Korean media condemned the US remarks that North Korea’s nuclear arsenal will be used to reunify the Korean Peninsula by force.
 
On February 25, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Korea Asia-Pacific Peace Committee, in a statement, denounced US Vice President Mike Pence’s remarks made on February 22 to the effect that Kim Yo Jong, the North Korean leader’s sister, is part of an evil family clique that oppresses millions.
 
On February 25, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, blasted the additional unilateral US sanctions on North Korea and US President Trump’s remarks on the North made on February 23 to the effect that if the latest sanctions do not work, a very tough second phase will be executed.
 
On February 26, the North Korean media reported that North Korea’s Permanent Mission to the UN, in a press statement, slammed the UN Secretary General’s  remarks made on February 16 at the Munich Security Conference that it is essential to apply sanctions and pressure on North Korea.
 
On February 27, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the National Coordinating Committee of the DPRK for Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism, in a Q&A session with KCNA reporters, condemned the anti-DPRK public statement adopted on February 23 by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) that there are still significant deficiencies in the DPRK’s regime for anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism and that all jurisdictions should be aware of the dangers of North Korea’s proliferation financing.
 
On March 1, the North Korean media reported that the director of policy research of the Institute for American Studies, affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, denounced the additional unilateral US sanctions on North Korea and US President Trump’s remarks on the North made on February 23 to the effect that if the latest sanctions do not work, a very tough second phase will be executed.
