On June 1-5, the North Korean media reported that Kim Jong Un gave field guidance at the Kanggye General Tractor Plant, the Kanggye General Precision Machine Plant, the Jangjagang Machine Tool Factory, the February 8 General Machine Factory, the 250-mile Journey for Learning Schoolchildren’s Palace in Manpo and Ganggye, Jagang Province and examined the overall construction plan in the cities; provided field guidance at the South Pyongan General Machinery Factory; watched a performance given by amateur art groups of the wives of officers of units of the Korean People’s Army (KPA); watched a mass gymnastics performance and the opening act of an artistic performance titled “The Land of the People” at the May Day Stadium; and posed for a commemorative photo with members of the art groups of the wives of officers of units of the KPA.

On June 3, the North Korean media reported that Premier Kim Jae Ryong provided field guidance at the Taean Heavy Machine Complex, the Woldang Cooperative Farm in Sinwon, the Hasong Tire Factory, and the National IT Administration.

On June 4, the North Korean media reported that the director of the Veterinary Institute under the Academy of Agricultural Science, in a Q&A session with reporters, emphasized the need to prevent the spread of African swine fever (ASF).

On June 6, the North Korean media reported that the North completed the construction of a passenger terminal and is pushing ahead with the construction of a cargo terminal in Sindo, North Pyeongan Province.

On June 7, the North Korean media reported that a joint national meeting of the organizations of the Korean Children’s Union (KCU) was held to mark its 73rd founding anniversary.

On June 3, the North Korean media condemned the South’s participation in the Pacific Vanguard exercises and the Ulchi Taegeuk military exercises.

On June 4, the North Korean media denounced the academic conference on the new Korean Peninsula system, in which the ROK Minister of Unification participated.

On June 5, the North Korean media reported that the National Reunification Institute, in a detailed report, blasted the Liberty Korea Party of South Korea.

On June 7, the North Korean media condemned the South’s Ulchi Taegeuk military exercises.

【Foreign Affairs】
On June 2, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Korean Asia-Pacific Peace Committee, in a Q&A session with KCNA reporters, criticized the remarks by the Japanese Foreign Minister.

On June 4, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, called on the US to change its attitude, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the June 12 DPRK-US Joint Statement.

On June 5, the North Korean media reported that the director of the Disarmament and Peace Institute of the Foreign Ministry, in a Q&A session with KCNA reporters, condemned the US Department of Defense Strategy Report for designating North Korea as a rogue state.
